Public Enquiry 'likely'.

An email from Nora Radcliffe advises that
"The proposal is likely to be the subject of a public enquiry. Officials are taking legal advice as to the scope of the enquiry therefore the Minister was unable to say if the enquiry will be restricted to the Moray Council objection."

"There is no time limit within which Ministers are obliged to come to a decision, so it is a matter of waiting."

News from Friends of Clash

Richard Hammock has received information from the Forestry Commission, Scottish National Heritage and Aberdeen Council relating to their objections to the proposed project.

These concern, respectively, the status of wild cats in the forest, additional information required to the EIA and possible reconsideration of the Tier3/4 classification of the site. He suggests letters to Aberdeen Council Planning Department regarding this last matter would be useful.

Richard has also written an article for 'The Leopard' about the project.
